What is Inflatable Safety Training for EHOs?

PIPA has created an online e-Learning module all about inflatable safety.

Within the leisure and amusement industry, we have found the enforcement of inflatables to vary across the country. By large, the enforcement bodies are not aware of what the requirements are for inflatables.

This has lead to large variances in how inflatables are being looked at, or investigated when safety concerns are raised. We want to improve the understanding about inflatable safety to enforcement officers to help improve their understand and instil confidence to enable enforcement activity.

For many years, PIPA has provided in-person training to local authorities, HSE and EHOs. Using the feedback and the knowledge we have developed from working alongside EHOs and HSE, we have created an online training course.

How do I access the course?

The 'Inflatable Safety for EHOs' course is funded by PIPA, and is being offered free of charge specifically to :

- Environmental Health Officers (EHOs)
- Local Authorities
- Local Enforcement Teams
- National Fairground Inspection Team (NFIT)
- Health & Safety Executive (HSE) Employees

It is quick and easy to sign up, simply visit the PIPA Learning Hub using the following link, and click sign up.

When it asks for your role within the sign up form, select the 'EHO / HSE' option. Ensure to use an official email address (i.e. your work email) to sign up with.

Your account will activate immediately, and within 24 working hours you will receive an email to confirm the 'Inflatable Safety for EHOs' training module has been added to your account.
