PIPA's Attendance on This Morning, ITV
Today PIPA has joined the ‘This Morning’ programme to discuss the safe use of inflatable amusement devices.
This was an invitation to join the show to answer questions around the safe use of inflatables, and what to look out for, following the sad incident of a child who had fallen off an inflatable and required medical attention.
Who is PIPA?
PIPA is a ‘not for profit’ inspection scheme created by the inflatable industry to raise standards within inflatable play. Our PIPA inspection framework helps to ensure inflatables are designed safely and remain safe for use throughout their lifespan. We create training and guidance to help the industry remain safe and raise standards.
Why did you agree to attend the show?
Our role on the programme is to promote awareness and understanding around inflatable safety and offer expert advice on current safety standards. We believe this is an excellent platform to spread these messages.
Will you be looking into the incident discussed on the show further?
PIPA is not an enforcement agency, and it does not have powers to investigate incidents. We are unable to provide comment on the specifics of the accident as we do not have the full detail.
