About Us

We operate the PIPA Inspection Scheme:

• Inflatables require an initial inspection to ensure they have been designed safely, and an annual inspection to ensure they remain safe for use
• PIPA inspections use a framework underpinned by British Safety standards
• Inspection bodies registered with PIPA are validated to employ inspectors who have the necessary skill and training to undertake PIPA inspections

Working with key industry stakeholders:

• We support all who work within the industry, including owners, hirer's, showmen, inflatable parks and leisure centres
• Holding a strong relationship with the Health & Safety Executive, and being part of the UK's Fairground Joint Advisory Committee 
• PIPA is a member of the Amusement Device Safety Council (ADSC) and works closely with the Amusement Device Inspection Procedures Scheme (ADIPS)
• We provide input into standard writing, including BS EN 14960, through our BSI committee membership

Improving standards across the industry:

• Providing clear information on the requirements of operating inflatable equipment safely
• Increasing public awareness of the scheme and UK safety requirements
• Creating training courses for the industry
